Intensive Poetry Workshop

at Arts & Literature Lab, Erector Square
319 Peck Street, New Haven, CT

Two Saturdays, February 11 & 18, 4:00-6:00 pm
Taught by Sarah Pemberton Strong

This "low residency" eight-day poetry workshop replicates the intensely focused environment of a writing retreat, without requiring you to leave home for a week or spend your entire paycheck. The emphasis is on creating new work: you'll write a poem a day for five days, receiving daily critiques from the instructor and a classmate. Class meets in person on two consecutive Saturdays, and requires daily email communication in the interim. A day for revision and a celebratory group reading at our final meeting complete this productive and inspiring week.

Appropriate for poets of all levels and backgrounds. Commitment to the rigorous schedule and access to email required. Join us and watch yourself write more, connect with others, and enjoy the process!

Cost: $125.00. Register early to guarantee your space. For more information or to register, please email info@sarahpembertonstrong.com. Mail the workshop fee in a check made payable to ALL Gallery, 319 Peck Street, New Haven, CT 06513.
